The Process

The pouches begin their lives in the wheels of Melbourne's cyclists until a puncture destines them for the rubbish bin. I collect the tubes from local bike stores and then sew them together in my studio. The top tube bags feature a strap to secure the punches to the bike frame, the Velcro on these straps are rescued from new bicycle packaging. In the bike packaging they may only be used for a short trip and then discarded.
